Vision & Mission
We believe that God has a mission to be reconciled to all of humanity and desires to be in a loving relationship involving every area of our existence. Jesus Christ came to fulfill God’s purpose and invites all believers to join the mission of God.
Guiding Scripture
They will be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, to display his glory. (Isaiah 61:3b)
Core Beliefs
We believe that all men are created equal in the image of God, and for God and as such, we are eternally bound to God as our maker and to one another. From one ancestor he made all nations to inhabit the whole earth, and he allotted the times of their existence and the boundaries of the places where they would live. (Acts 17:26)
There is no longer Jew or Greek; there is no longer slave or free, there is no longer male and female; for all of you are one in Christ Jesus. (Galatians 3:28)
God
We believe in one God the Father and creator of all things in the heavens and earth; We believe that God is eternal and self-existent and triune, manifested as God the Father, Jesus Christ God’s Son and the Holy Spirit. We call this relationship, the Holy Trinity.
Jesus
The incarnate image of God. A central historical figure who was born of a virgin conceived by the Holy Spirit of God, lived in human form, died on a Roman cross by crucifixion, was buried, on the third day was resurrected from the dead. He ascended into Heaven where he reigns with the Father. We believe that Jesus will return to this earth in the same manner he left and that will be the end of all things on earth. Jesus Christ will judge the living and the dead.
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. (Colossians 1:15)
The Holy Spirit
The invisible power of God that is at work in the world, the Holy Spirit draws us into Salvation through the work of grace. The New believer receives the baptism of the Holy Spirit through prayer and this empowers the believer to live the Christian life. This Spirit-filled life gifts the believer with The fruits of the Spirit for the mutual benefit and strengthening of the body. By contrast, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against such things. (Galatians 5:22-23)
The BiBle
Bible is the inspired word of God, containing the story of God and God’s relationship with humanity. We believe that the bible is the single most important document of our faith and exists to instruct in the way of Salvation and redemption. The following verses from the Bible support our belief in the Bible:
Now the Lord said to Moses, Come up to Me on the mountain and remain there, and I will give you the stone tablets with the law and the commandment which I have written for their instruction. – Exodus 24:12
For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. – Romans 15:4
All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; – 2 Timothy 3: 16
Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction. – 2 Timothy 4:2
Humanity
We believe that all men are created equal in the image of God, and for God and as such, we are eternally bound to God as our maker and to one another. From one ancestor he made all nations to inhabit the whole earth, and he allotted the times of their existence and the boundaries of the places where they would live, (Acts 17:26)
There is no longer Jew or Greek; there is no longer slave or free, there is no longer male and female; for all of you are one in Christ Jesus. (Galatians 3:28)
Sin
We believe that our first parents Adam and Eve, first disobeyed God and chose the desires of the flesh, this act produced the sin nature in humankind. Sin is merely willful disobedience of God’s word and requires repentance and forgiveness that comes through Christ. In Him, we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace.(Ephesians 1:7)
Salvation
Salvation is God’s gift made available through Jesus Christ, who took upon himself the penalty for sin when He died on the cross. We can never attain this gift by any amount of good works we may attempt to do it is a gift! When we trust in Jesus and receive His forgiveness, we are saved from the penalty of sin, which is eternal separation from our Creator. God went to great lengths to bring us back into relationship with Himself.
(Romans 6:23; Romans 5:8; 10:9-10; Ephesians 2:8-9; John 14:6; I John 5:11-13)
The Church
The church is an organic entity made up of individuals who believe and follow The Lord Jesus Christ, the founder and builder of the church. The church is not a human institution, but a God-ordained group, who share in the body of Christ and in fellowship with each other. But if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. (1 John 1:7)
Relationships
We believe that as part of the human family our lives are to be lived horizontally, seeking to carry out the mandate of Christ to love our neighbor as ourselves. We believe that as the Planting of the Lord we join with Jesus Christ in his mission to save and bring hope and healing to the world through Christ. (Isaiah 61:3; Matthew 28:18-20)
Eternity
We believe in Heaven and Hell, that there’s a place reserved for Satan, his demons and those who choose to walk in a life of disobedience to God. Heaven is reserved for those who have chosen to follow God through Christ and are born again in Christ.
And they sang a new song, saying, ‘Worthy are You to take the book and to break its seals; for You were slain, and purchased for God with Your blood men from every tribe and tongue and people and nation.’ (Revelation 5:9)
